Drawing from 25 years experience as a conservator of historic
decorative painting and ornamental plaster, Ms. Elza has adapted
period designs and paint techniques to create new applications on
interior wall surfaces, furniture and other objects of art.
Ms. Elza received her formal art training at The School of the
Worcester Art Museum and Clark University, Worcester, MA. She now
resides in Woodland Park, Colorado.

Recent Work
Design and color consultant in a Federal Revival Townhouse, Capital
Hill, Washington, DC
Recreated an eclectic Victorian library complete with custom
bookshelves, leather sofa, antique Oriental carpet, Jacobean
desk, humidor and 19th century globe. Wall treatment includes
Pompeiian design and ornamentation. All woodwork finished in
mahogany faux bois.
Dining room walls were treated with a series of glazes to
simulate exotic wood. Gold stenciling on the ceiling and walls
shimmer under accent lighting. The treatment serves as a backdrop
for the client’s collection of religious and folk art.
